The staff is pleasant and affable. The room is neat and the bed is exceptionally comfortable.

Coffee was horrible. Bad. Pool wasn't open. It was memorial day weekend and the pool wasn't open. It was hot out, and the pool wasn't open, on memorial day weekend. Book direct from the hotel. That way if you need to cancel a night you can get a refund. You can't if you make your reservation through the website.

Dated property, worn out towels in our room. I booked through some travel site and could not take advantage of a discount (horse show discount from the Tryon International horse park) - not the hotels fault but I would have rather payed 10% less for our room!

Travel to Banner Elk, NC. The room was clean and spacious, but the pillows were a bit too flat for my liking. It was a decent stay for one night.

Manager charged us for two nights when we only stayed one night. We has a 4 night reservations but told hotel at check-in we could only stay one night Had to file complaint with B of A VISA to get credit for the 2nd night charge. Manager was rude and unrealistic considering the hotel was only about half full and our leaving did not cause him to loose any business.

great access to parks and local dining options

I loved the short walk to both the Polk County History Museum and the nearby parks. It made my exploration so enjoyable and easy. I found some fantastic local eateries just around the corner.

They have waffles, cereal, fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, etc. for the continental breakfast. The area was kept clean & well stocked. Staff was friendly.

We were there for 2 nights & it was really hot, but the pool was never open. There were a lot of guest so the ice machine was empty after they filled all their coolers both mornings.

Unexpected kindness during chaos

The hotel staff were really nice, even without power. The room was clean and spacious, giving us peace of mind amid the storm's aftermath.

No amenities were available due to the power outage. It was like a missed opportunity for comfort during a tough situation.

There was a used condom wrapper under the cusion in the loveseat. Told the manager and he only gave me a 5 percent discount. I would never use this motel again. Nasty!

A Place of Kindness in Uncertain Times

After facing roadblocks due to a storm, we found refuge here. The staff welcomed us with open arms, even accommodating us without power. Our clean, spacious room provided comfort , and the trust they placed in us was heartwarming. Plan ahead for late arrivals!

Bed was comfortable.

I got (requested) smoking room, but even I was taken aback by the smell of the room. Also, there was a mold ring inside the toilet (it's not been cleaned in a while) and the shower curtain had a lot of visible mold on it.
